Pirastro P213332 violin string stiff D-3 soft (16 1/2), in tube, gut core, aluminum

The Pirastro P213332 D string for violin combines a gut core with an aluminum winding. This provides a fast, direct response and a clear attack, ideal for rapid passages and articulation. Its stiffness ensures stable intonation and a controlled attack, while the gut core maintains warmth and a balanced tone. The string comes in a protective tube, keeping it dry and fresh until you install it. Specially designed for violinists who frequently play in orchestral or chamber ensembles and require projection without compromising tonality. With a 16 1/2 gauge, this D string offers a firm tension suitable for both solo pieces and accompaniment. The aluminum winding contributes to clarity and character in the high and mid-range ranges, ensuring you'll always cut through in a group. Ideal for players seeking clear articulation and a reliable feel for extended playing time.
