More information about this Pirastro
The Pirastro P214241 A-2 medium (13 3/4) is an A string for violins with a gut core and aluminum winding. Specifically designed for 13 3/4-inch instruments, this string delivers a balanced, expressive tone with a warm fundamental and bright overtones. The gut core provides an organic feel and subtle nuances, while the aluminum winding enhances tone projection and keeps the tension stable over long playing periods.
This string offers a classic gut feel without completely deviating from modern playing experiences, making it ideal for chamber music and orchestral work. Care instructions: gut strings react to moisture and temperature fluctuations; store them in their packaging and allow them to acclimate to their playing environment before tuning. The P214241 is specifically designed for 13 3/4-inch violins and offers a consistent, responsive performance with warmth, richness, and clear articulation.
