Pirastro P219451 violin string G-4 thick (16 3/4), gut core, silver

The Pirastro P219451 G-4 thick is a gut-core G string for violin that meets the need for a warm, balanced tone with sufficient projection. The gut core responds directly to your bowing and offers a natural response, while the silver winding provides extra clarity and stability, especially noticeable in arpeggios and fast passages. This string retains the classic warmth characteristic of gut strings without losing overtone clarity. The G-4 thick adds a bit more body to the G string, which is beneficial on older violins or for performances where projection is important in small venues. Its 16 3/4-inch length makes it suitable for standard violin instruments, and the combination of gut core and silver winding offers consistent tension and intonation across a wide dynamic range. For players who prefer a traditional, warm tone with modern playability, this string is a definite step forward.
