Pirastro P312221 violin string A-2 medium, steel core, aluminum

The Pirastro P312221 A-2 medium is a violin string with a steel core and aluminum winding. This A-2 medium offers direct response and clear articulation, keeping your bowwork and intonation sharp, whether you're playing baroque or modern repertoire. The combination of a robust core and a smooth winding produces a clear, projecting tone with good sustain throughout the register.

Thanks to its medium gauge, this A-string feels comfortable during extended playing sessions and provides consistent tonality in both soft archet and forte passages. The aluminum winding contributes to clarity and precision in the upper range, while the steel core offers stability and durability. Ideal for violinists seeking a reliable A-string with a balanced response, or students who want a balanced gauge for smooth transitions between styles.
