The TAD 12BH7A (RT046) is an alternative to the TAD 12BH7A-STR , with a more compact size and slightly higher gain . Thanks to its excellent mechanical build quality, this tube offers superior noise rejection, robustness, and a long service life .
With its perfect balance and strong current delivery, this tube is an excellent choice as a driver stage for output tubes such as 300B, 2A3, 6550, KT88, KT120 and KT150 .
In guitar amplifiers, the TAD 12BH7A is often used as a power amplifier tube in 5-watt amplifiers , such as the Blackstar HT-5 series, Marshall Origin 5 and the Hughes & Kettner Tubemeister .
