The Martin & Co MK13 Luxe By Martin Kovar is a medium string set for acoustic guitars with gauges 013–056. These strings have a steel core with a Kovar nickel-cobalt winding. This material is naturally corrosion-resistant and doesn't react to skin oils. You can play longer without the tone becoming dull.
Kovar offers a distinctive tonal character that's brighter than Monel and warmer than phosphor bronze. The strings have a lower tension than many other medium sets, making them comfortable to play and easier to depress frets. They respond quickly to your touch and remain beautifully balanced, even on guitars with magnetic pickups.
